As part of the online M.S. in Sport Management program, students have the option to pursue a graduate certificate. The program requires students to complete a sequence of three classes. The credit hours earned through the certificate programs can also be applied solely to obtaining the certificate.
The Graduate Certificate in Sport Event Management program focuses on the challenges and opportunities involved in organizing Olympic-level competitions as well as regional events. To earn the graduate certificate, you must apply for the certificate, and upon approval, complete a yearlong sequence of three courses.
The Graduate Certificate in Social Media program provides the know-how to maintain, measure, and analyze the performance of social media campaigns and their effectiveness. To earn the certificate, students must take four courses for a total of 12 credits. Social media graduate certificate applications will also require a statement of purpose and an updated resume.

The Athlete Development specialization qualifies students to pursue certification through the Professional Association of Athlete Development Specialists (PAADS).
